giveaway series. The newsprint cover makes this RARE book especially
hard to find in any grade. The Overstreet Price Guide doesn't even
provide a value above 8.0. How often does that happen! In fact, this
book has been dubbed "SCARCE" by both Overstreet and Gerber. Even more remarkable is the page quality. Newsprint used for promos
browned very quickly in comparison to the paper stock used for
distribution comics. But note this copy's Cream to Off-White pages, a
rarity even for a rare book. Overstreet 2004 top grade for this book is VF 8.0 and Overstreet put its value at $1,400. When Overstreet doesn't assign a value beyond VF, you can be assured this book is simply
impossible to find - in ANY condition, much less the highest grade of 8.0!!
A key, scarce, pedigreed, fragile promotional book, verified as
restoration-free and graded by CGC, usually sells for anywhere from 2x
to 6x Guide. The reserve for this sweet giveaway is set slightly above
Guide book value. Once this goes into a private collection you may wait
